Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed, from the Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University, stated that the current summer is one of the most intense Egypt has experienced in years due to the extreme rise in temperatures. He added that this directly affects the scalp and skin tone of artists, especially those participating in productions that rely on “continuity,” which is a key element directors focus on to maintain the overall appearance of filmed scenes.
Appearance is essential to ensure consistency in artistic work
Dr. El-Sayed emphasized in a press statement:
“An artist must pay attention to their overall appearance so that changes in facial features, skin tone, or hair do not affect the work they present.”
He noted that proper care starts with using cosmetics suited to the temperature, along with hair products that protect against damage or changes caused by sun exposure or swimming in the sea during the summer months.
Medical follow-up is essential for maintaining a stable appearance
Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed also highlighted the importance of ongoing consultations with a specialist, stating:
“It is essential for an artist to regularly consult a specialist to determine which products are suitable for their skin type and hair texture, and this should be maintained consistently.”
